Boat Races

Conditioning drill. Can be used as warm up. Can be a very long drill if players are of equal speed and motivated.

Instructions

Players start at opposite ends of the court on the baseline under the basket or at the corners. They must keep at least one wheel on the baseline or sideline at all times or out of bounds. They must head in the same direction (the direction you say before the drill starts ex. clockwise, counter clockwise) the first one to tag the opposing player wins.

Variations

More than one player on each team. fastest guy should be in front and slower players at the back. First player on a team that tags a member of the other team wins.

Tips

Call players out who cut the corner and go inside the sideline or baseline.
