Side Court One Player Basketball

Find a basketball court with baskets on the side. The length of a real court is too long.

Player shoots, rebounds (only once) if necessary and shots again. If player scores on either attempt, they score two. If they miss, a make believe competitor scores two.

Play game to one hundred. Player keeps score in head while playing. When shots are made beyond three point line, score three.

When player gets to one hundreds before fake competitor, player wins. When player win consistently, they are improving their shooting, rebounding and dribbling skills as well as conditioning as player runs from basket to basket across the half court.

In this game, player does not play defense.

Instructions

Review player shooting, following shot and dribbling skills. Push player to play at game speed to push conditioning.

Variations

  • Final score can be adjusted base on how much time player has to play the game. When ball leaves court. It’s two points for fake team.

Tips

  • Need a court that has baskets on both sides of half court.
