This drill helps improve hand eye coordination and timing.
Throw the ball at the backboard (make sure you don’t get it in the hoop). As it comes back down catch it at the high point and throw it up again in the same jump. (If you are doing this with a team make them line up behind each other; one person throws it up and next rebounds and tosses it back up.)
Switch sides of backboard or try using only one hand.
Try to catch the ball at the high point. This improves timing.
