Basketball requires all around conditioning; stamina, strength, speed, jumping ability and more. These drills show you how to improve in all those areas.
There are 130 basketball drills in this category, and the newest ones are listed first.
We use this drill for several purposes. Conditioning, transition, shooting lay ups, and full court fast break opportunities. The team must make 20 lay-ups in a row within the 10-minute time frame or we run 10 up and back sprints.

It is just three man weave but you use three balls to add a little confusion to the drill. Players are allowed to release to represent the fast break.

Start with half of each team on each baseline. Set the clock for as long as you want usually 3-5 minutes. Decide what side is going to go first. Then buzz the horn and the first side has 10 seconds to get down to the other baseline and back past the free-throw line. Then after 10 seconds buzz horn again and the other side goes. This is continuous for allotted time.

begins just like the tradional 3 man weave with 3 lines. first person in each line has a ball. movement is like normal 3 man weave only difference is instead of passing the players are dribbling. all 3 people are dribbling. everyone needs to make sure they keep their head up and talk to their teamates. player in the middle begins drill by dribbling right or left. then it becomes 3 person weave, go in front of person dribbling at you, allow them to go behind. remember if you go behind then next you go in front. again all 3 people are staying low while dribbling in an athletic position. drill is full court.

2 teams of 2 men, each team underneath one basket. After coach’s whistle start the first man of the team to dribble to opposite basket and lay-up (he rebounds and shots until scores), after scoring dribble to opposite and again lay-up (in the same way as above). After scoring passes ball to the second player and he continues in the same way. The winner is that team, whichs’ player overtakes opponent by scoring soon on some basket (‘The pursuit race’).
