River Hills Free Throw Drill

This drill is set up to help with three things; free throws, physical conditioning, and mental conditioning.

Instructions

Have one person line up on the foul line and shoot as if in a one and one situation. All other players line up along baseline ready to run. The player at the foul line then shoots, if he makes it then everyone stays where they are. If the player misses then EVERYONE runs. The shooter has to start from the foul line, touch the baseline and catch everyone else. If the shooter beats anyone back to the baseline, he is free to rest for the next set and another shooter takes his place.

Variations

Uses at the elbows for jump shooting and 3 point shooting. Variations on the running are at your discretion. Also have other players to make noise during the shooting to get players accustomed to playing in volatile environments.

Skills

Skills improved are shooting, free throw shooting, and overall conditioning.
